Let’s talk about you for a second

As a teacher, selflessness can feel like part of the job description. But let’s take a moment to consider how traveling with EF can impact you—as an educator, as a leader of student travel experiences, and yes, as a person, too. Because we’re the kind of partner who sees you for all the incredible things you are.

Here are a few things we’ve been working on lately:

A rewards program we can only describe as “the traveliest”

Start earning Global Rewards Points with our loyalty program right away, when you start enrolling students. Then redeem them after your first trip for the kind of travel opportunities you won’t find with any other company: from a trip to the destination of your choice with EF Go Ahead Tours to conventions designed to connect you with fellow teachers in unexpected destinations like the French Riviera, Rwanda, and South Korea. We also offer unique, “only at EF” travel experiences in conjunction with some of our special partners.

Erin, an 18-year EF veteran, has the kind of connection with Nepal that brought an entire convention tour full of teachers to her husband’s family home for dinner.

An investment in your students (and in you, too)

You want travel to be available to as many students as possible. So do we. That's why our needs and merit based Global Citizen Scholarship awards up to $100,000 each year. Plus, you can use your Global Points to reduce students’ tour costs. And we have scholarships for you, too, whether it's earning a spot on a professional learning tour to a Global Leadership Summit, attending our Global Education Symposium for free, being our guest at the Harvard Think Tank on Global Education, or joining one of our many tours just for educators.

A community of lifelong learners and curious explorers

EF offers a wide range of opportunities to connect with other globally minded teachers and grow as an educator. Earn up to six graduate-level credits through our university partner, Southern New Hampshire University, or 45 professional learning hours or points—all while exploring new destinations. Attend gatherings like EF’s Global Education Symposium, explore the world’s education systems on a professional learning tour, or get access to exclusive events like Harvard’s Think Tank on Global Education and the Nobel Prize Teacher Summit.

A something-for-every-teacher take on tour design

A STEM-centric look at London? Mandarin lessons in Beijing? A service project in the Dominican Republic? Yep, we’ve got thoughtfully designed, carefully curated tours for (all) that. And because we want to get as many students out seeing the world as we can, we make sure our tours are optimized for value and affordability. We make it easy—and cost-effective—to customize your experience with special requests like hotels closer to the city center. (Worth mentioning: our local-to-everywhere regional offices book guides, meals, and other experiences directly, which means we’re in full control. Nothing’s handled through outside agents.)

“By partnering with EF, we have been able to offer students opportunities to explore interests, find passions, and dig deeper into the school curriculum.”

– Tricia, Director of Student Services
Mariemont City Schools

A “friends in all the places” kind of support system

Traveling with EF means you’re backed by the vast reach of our global family paired with the personal attention of your Tour Consultant, who’s equal parts travel guru, expert planner, and cheerleader. Once enrollment is underway, first-timers are welcomed to the EF family on a free training tour to places like Paris, Panama, and Beijing. There, teachers learn from both EF staffers and seasoned teacher-travelers in EF’s Global Education Ambassadors: experienced Group Leaders who often serve as mentors throughout the planning process. Suffice it to say, you have EF’s (passionate! smiling! pink-shirted!) support every step of the way.
