Begin your journey in Iceland, a world leader in geothermal and hydroelectric power. You’ll be amazed by the Blue Lagoon, waterfalls over 100 feet tall, and Iceland’s otherworldly landscapes. Continue to Denmark, currently ranked as the world’s most sustainable country, where you’ll develop a new appreciation for the country’s thoughtful water management. Your exploration of water culminates in Berlin as you further investigate The Impact of Water on Society with other teachers and students, building a shared understanding of how to harness this important natural resource to make a bigger difference around the world.

    Take a walking tour of Reykjavik

  • Day 3: Reykjavik

    Visit Thingvellir National Park,  a geologically and historically important site that’s home to the largest natural lake in Iceland 

    Visit Geysir Geothermal Area, a famous hot spring

     Visit a hydroponic tomato farm that produces almost half of the produce in Iceland 

     Take a soak in the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa known to decrease stress and improve circulation  

  • Day 4: Reykjavik

     Take a day trip to the Hvolsvöllur region and visit the Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss falls 

     Visit the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant  

  • Day 5: Reykjavik

     

    Take a day trip to Kalmanstunga

    Enjoy a glacier walk

  • Day 6: Reykjavik • Copenhagen

    Fly to Copenhagen

    Take a walking tour of Copenhagen
