I had the great opportunity to travel with the STEM London/Paris tour. Our students were amazed by the experiences they had. Every person involved was positively changed by the tour. Our guide was absolutely fantastic and made sure that the students were both learning and having fun at the same time. It was a life changing experience that both the adults and students will never forget. By the end of the tour, students were planning on checking out other tours as well as the option to study abroad in London or Paris. The STEM workshops/activities that we did before related tourist sites were outstanding and invaluable. For example, the students were challenged to move two (huge) hay bales across a field using only the tools available to people at the time, before our visit to Stonehenge. This provided context and a deeper appreciation of what it took for those ancient civilizations to build the structure we can still see 5000 years later.

There was a nice mix of STEM, history, and cultural education along with discovery time for students to explore on their own. The students were kept busy enough each day that they were more than ready for bed each night.

The Tour Director was knowledgeable, but not as assertive as they needed to be in keeping students' attention and stressing the importance of maintaining timelines throughout each day. The TD also did not know what the STEM acronym stood for. This is unacceptable. show less

Excellent trip. Our tour guide was so very knowledgeable. He not only shared specific information about each place we visited, but also provided opportunities for the participants to apply their skills toward navigating in a foreign country.
