  1. Can't Wait to Go Back!

Everything about my tour was absolutely incredible! The people, the places, the food... it was all I had dreamed it would be and more! This was the first time I had been out of the country, and it was an excellent first time. On the plane ride home I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried for a good 20 minutes because I had had such a great time and I didn't want it to end. Our tour director was absolutely fantastic!! He was funny, personable, knowledgeable, and just an overall great person. He knew the facts and the history of every place we visited. He also went above and beyond for me trying to get a souvenir through security. It was an absolute pleasure spending my tour with him, and I can truly call him a friend.
The tour also changed the way I view the world. I now know that there is more out in the world than just the place I grew up in and the people that I know. But more importantly, I learned that people, even if they're from another country or of a different background, are not that different from one another. Some friends and I had a surprising but welcome conversation with a local jeweler in Athens who was more than happy to share what his life was like and was very curious as to what ours was like. I think that was one of the most significant experiences that I had on my trip.
Through this trip I also gained a newfound appreciation for the Italian and Greek cultures rather than just for their food and their mythology. I feel truly connected to those cultures and hold them near to my heart. Learning small bits of the language and using it to communicate with the people was, for me, fun and exciting. I was also given an inside look into their culture and history through immersion and learning from local tour guides rather through a high school World History class. Speaking of the local tour guides, they too were very nice and knowledgeable. Sometimes their English isn't always the best, but it's okay. The knowledge they have about where they live is impressive. The best local tour guide I had was the tour guide we had during our visit to the Vatican. She was not only knowledgeable about the Vatican and its history, I could feel that it is also very personal and dear to her.
Overall, this trip was more than I could have hoped for. I feel like I lack the words to adequately describe in full how much I enjoyed my trip and what it meant to me. I would take any chance to go back in a heartbeat, and I absolutely would recommend this trip to any and everybody!

  2. Life changing experience

This tour was my first time being on a plane and leaving the country. Overall my experience on this tour was life changing. I got the opportunity to really understand cultures other than my own. I also got to see all of the ruin sites and attractions that most people only see in textbooks, such as the coleseum, the roman forum, and even the Parthenon in Greece! During the trip we also had the oppertunity to hike the Vesuvian Mountains! I would do this tour again in a heart beat. The only negative aspect of this tour is to be prepared to walk all day and not have much personal time because the itenary is very filled! I would recommend this tour to anyone who has in interest in learning about other cultures and has a passion to see the world!

  3. Great Tour Leader...

The group leader was astounding in his knowledge and organizational skills in keeping us on schedule without any delay in all aspects of the tour. I realize this takes additional coordination by EF at higher levels considering all the other EF groups and similar touring companies.

My own personal medicinal needs were noted and accommodated throughout the trip. Not an easy task.

I'd highly recommend this trip to younger adults as the pace was, at times, frantic. Too much to do. Not really any down time. I had to make it for myself meaning skipping one island tour. No harm done.

All in all, an amazing trip. Italy and Greece have been on my bucket list for years... now I can consider this venture achieved.

  4. Exceeded my Expectations!

The Ancient Mediterranean Tour was spectacular! We had the opportunity to see so many amazing and historic sights but also had time to explore on our own. Our tour guide cared about each individual traveler and never once did I see her without a smile on her face. She was knowledgeable about every sight we visited and clearly knew what she was doing. I couldn't have asked for a better trip!

  5. What an Amazing Experience for Our Students!

This was the first overseas travel our school has done, and the experience for our students was amazing! The operative word for Education First Educational Tours is the term "educational." This tour reinforced what our students learn in the Anchorage School District's social studies curriculum focusing on world geography. What also struck me was the authenticity of the experience-from the history, political, economic perspective. Even the food was authentic (and very, very good!). We will definitely be taking another EF tour in the future! I recommend this company without any reservation whatsoever!

  6. A Trip To Remember

Traveling with EF was a great experience because everything from the hotels, flights, tickets, etc. was taken care of, and it let us focus and enjoy the moments and places we were at.
Also, our tour guide was fantastic! He was great with telling us about the ancient times in both Italy and Greece, showing us the different music on the bus rides.
I was also able to meet new people and make new friends, which made the trip even more memorable because we got to explore the cities together while bonding.
The restaurants we visited were delicious. This couldn't have been a more memorable trip.

  7. Italy and Greece

I really enjoyed this tour. It was fast-paced and we saw a great deal. Our tour director was fantastic and my students made lots of friends. We had some fantastic lunches with help from our tour director. Make sure you do the Greek extension; I will next time.

  8. Great Experience - Excellent Value

This was my daughter's first trip overseas. She really enjoyed the trip. Her favorite places on the tour were Florence and Capri. Excellent value for the money!

  9. Great Trip

We enjoyed the trip to Italy, Greece and Turkey. The Greek Isles were beautiful. The cruise we went on was the last cruise for that particular ship, so it was a bit lacking, as the stores were pretty much empty and there wasn't much to do on board. The rest of the trip was great, though.

  10. Trip of a lifetime

I enjoyed the trip tremendously! Everything was planned out for us. We had no worries, no waiting in long lines, and were able to just enjoy ourselves stress-free from the beginning of the trip to the end. I will definitely travel with EF tours from now on.
