  1. A trip to remember

I have never in my life enjoyed a trip this much. I have been to many places in my life and honestly this was the best trip of all the places I’ve traveled. I, not only went to one place but two places during the 7 day trip (Berlin and Potsdam). History, language, having fun, shopping, experience was all provided in this trip. I had an amazing time with my friends. Although...those who have allergies had a limited amount of choices of food to choose from. And if the price of the trip is a bit lower, I would go on not one but two different tours. Overall, I had an amazing time and I wish I could stay longer.

  2. Good experience but some improvable details

Overall good experience but given the expenses incurred, some details require improvement. For example, my son complained about the quality of food in the evenings. The hotel was excellent. The activities mostly well-organized and interesting. Transport OK. However, they were supposed to go on a biking tour and the person responsible for the activity did not show up.

  3. Mixed review

All our guides were very good. 6 days in Berlin was about 3 too long. Hotel in Berlin (Klassik) was nice, though a little noisy at night from the street. I liked the area it was in and the breakfast there was excellent. Day trip to Potsdam would have been great if we'd been allowed any time there, but we only got to see the city from the bus. Very unhappy with the dinners overall: french fries 5 or 6 nights out of 8; I saw a green vegetable exactly twice; and no coordination of the meals to ensure we weren't served the exact same meal 2 nights in a row at different restaurants. Amsterdam part of tour was perfect, just too short.

  4. Whirlwind

I recently went on this tour with my son. In my opinion, we spent too many days in Berlin. Our hotel was not in a safe location for kids. Right outside the hotel was the nightlife seen. The hotel does not have air conditioning so you needed to leave the balcony door open. With the nightlife going on until 7 am or later, sleep was impossible. Our tour guide didn't know where he was going most of the time so we ended up walking aimlessly around for hours, at a fast pace. I am a fast walker and almost had to run to keep up. Needless to say the others did too. I feel that with the walking tour, we need to be told what we are looking at. I feel like I did not see Berlin like I should have because of the guide. We walked around for hours looking at graffiti that our guide thought was art but we all thought it looked like trash. He was always yelling at us to hurry up and get out of people's way. We were not given enough free time. When we broke for lunch, we usually only had less than thirty minutes to find something, wait in line, then eat our food. The dinners consisted of the same meal most nights with horrible service. One night our food was actually cold. I feel like I did not get my money's worth out of this trip. Hotels need to have air conditioners when it's almost 90 degrees outside. I would love to go again on the 2019 trip but I'm not sure now.

  5. Fun Time

I really enjoyed the trip. Originally, my group had planned on going to Berlin and Munich, but due to when the tour was scheduled, we were only able to go to Berlin. I wish EF would have worked harder in order to get my group to both cities.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed staying and touring one city. I felt like I got to see what it was like to live in Berlin.
Our tour guide was excellent and filled with information. There is a lot that she taught us. I never would have learned so much touring the city and attractions myself. However, there were times where I felt she talked too much. I would have liked to tour the city more than listen to the tour guide.
The hotel room was small, and was difficult to fit three people, three beds, and three suitcases in.
I also think the tours that are put together should be of similar age groups. It was difficult for girls who are 15-18 to enjoy the tour with kids who are 11.
Overall I enjoyed the trip through Berlin. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget!

  6. Great Experience

I had a great time on my trip. The best part of our trip was we had the BEST tour guide ever! I would recommend her for all future tours. She made the experience 100 times better and I could not be more satisfied.

The trip itself was awesome as well, we had the perfect mix of tours and free time to get the most out of our stay in Berlin. I can't wait to do another tour with EF!
