10 days
Athens, Delphi, Meteora region, Igoumenitsa, Ancona, Florence, Rome, extension to Madrid, Toledo

As the ancient wonders of Athens and Delphi give way to the Renaissance treasures of Florence, it becomes clear how one era leads to another, how one ancient civilization sows the seeds for future awakenings.

The Parthenon in Athens and the Colosseum in Rome provide a fascinating framework for the artistic and architectural breakthroughs throughout Florence.
