• Good experience

This trip was definitely worth it although it did not always meet my expectations. Our tour guide made the experience what it was. We battled with hot, hot days, and there are several days where you are stuck on a bus/train. While this is a Holocaust trip, there were multiple tours that did not correlate at all but it was still cool to see. Warsaw Poland was by far the most beautiful...

  • Very educational

If you want to immerse yourself in Jewish history and get a personal look at what happened to the persecuted, this tour is for you. It is fast paced and full of travel.
I wish we had spent more time in Nuremburg and Salzburg, however, with less time in Berlin and Prague.
The tour was very well organized. The evening meals were bland and pretty awful most nights. The highlights were getting so much personal attention on the tours and never having to wait in line because it was all arranged a head of time.

  • Once-in-a-Lifetime Trip

I cannot emphasis enough how incredible and life-changing this trip was for both me and my students. Despite the heavy topic of the Holocaust, EF did an excellent job of planning events so that heavy, emotional moments were balanced with fun, uplifting moments later on.

Our tour director was by far the best one I have every had; she made a point to tie the Holocaust to current events, ensure the groups were mingling, and shared her own personal stories. She was highly organized, thoughtful, and well-informed about the sights were seeing. She also did an excellent job of preparing us for the emotional days and helped students deal with the emotions.

It was also incredible to see the beautiful and forgotten sights of Eastern Europe. My students were most excited for visiting Germany, but we all ended up loving Poland the most!

This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I strongly believe that everyone should take this trip. As all of my students said at the end, it is one thing to learn about the Holocaust; it is another to actually see where it happened. Thank you EF for making this trip possible for my students!

  • Amazing Experience!

This tour was very organized and well thought out. As soon as we landed, our Tour Director was there to meet us.
We visited so many museums, cathedrals, and other historical places. There is no way, we could have visited all those sites if traveling on our own. The Tour Guides and the Tour Director were very friendly & knowledgeable in the history and the places we visited. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them and learning new things.
I always felt safe. The meals were wonderful! The hotels clean and comfortable.
Be prepared to walk up to 5-6 miles a day! But, oh what beautiful sights you will see while you are walking!
Thank you EFTours for my first but hopefully not my last overseas adventure.

  • Great Experience

I loved everything about this trip, expect for 2/5 hotels that we stayed at. The hotel in Warsaw had no air conditioning and we were put on a smoking floor. The next night we were able to get moved off of that floor and onto a non smoking floor, but the room still had a pretty noticeable smoke smell. The hotel in Prague was a great location, but the room had no AC! Being that it was 90-95 degrees our whole trip, it was ridiculous that all of our hotels didn’t have air conditioning.

  • Be prepared!

This trip was entirely too rushed. Our tour guide was so focused on the schedule that it took away from the experience. Seeing sacred historical sites deserves time for reflection and being rushed through everything took away from the experience. Going more than 4 hours at one point before a restroom break and 8-9 hours between meals when our tour group included several adults, some of retirement age, was unnecessary and burdensome to say the least.

The sites we saw were amazing beyond words (hence, the 3 stars instead of 1) but approaching everything like we were in a huge hurry and consistently walking at a pace that left members of our group behind in unfamiliar surroundings was stressful and not at all what I wanted to experience for the money I paid to have my first experience in Europe. I will definitely return to Europe but not with a tour group!

  • So awesome

The Holocaust in Europe tour was nothing short of amazing. So many powerful experiences and so much valuable information gained and sights seen. Our Tour Director was patient, warm, funny, and thoroughly knowledgable about every city we traveled to.

  • Somber, Educational, with a healthy dash Adventure

Very good tour...if you are in good physical shape, you will have no trouble keeping up! Also, if you are accustomed to sleeping without air conditioning in 90 degree + heat with 37% humidity, then this is the trip for you. I would suggest packing a small personal fan. Additionally, if you are adventurous enough to eat perishable breakfast items without refrigeration during the summer months, then you are a better person than I. Lastly, if you like extraordinarily small portions and eating basically the same meal over and over, you will be very happy.
