Tell us about your hometown.
Girard is a small farm community where everyone knows you and waves as you drive by. Girard High School is a small Kansas 4A school; my class had 66 people in it! Also, everyone knows everything about everyone at school.

What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, listen to music, fish, golf, play pick-up football games, and ghost hunt!

How did you feel when you were chosen for Life on Tour™?
When I found out that I was chosen to be on the tour, I was completely speechless. I thought that I really wasn't what they were looking for because I'm a small town kid from Kansas. Then it hit me that I was going to Europe and all sorts of thoughts ran through my head. I realized I didn’t even have a passport! I went from being excited to nervous, to anxious and back to nervous, wondering if I’d lose my passport!

Now that you’re back home and have had time to reflect on your experience, tell us something you’ve learned about yourself after taking this tour.
After being back from Europe, I learned something about myself; I learned that I can get out there and make it on my own in bigger cities with a faster paced lifestyle as opposed to the small, laid-back town of Girard, Kansas.

How did this trip affect what you want to study in college and/or your future career plans?
Before this trip, I thought I had my whole plan figured out. I knew what I wanted to do and how I wanted to get there. Traveling abroad hadn't even really crossed my mind, but now it is definitely something that I will make part of my life. I would even love to study abroad while in college.
