At EF, we understand the importance of taking students and teachers out of the classroom and showing them the world. In order to make travel more accessible, we periodically offer scholarships and professional development awards to teachers and students.

Global Citizen scholarship

As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, it is important for students to gain exposure to the international community. Future academic and business leaders need to understand the global market and the cultural differences that affect it. In recognition of the importance of global awareness, EF is awarding the EF Global Citizen Scholarship to high school sophomores and juniors who are devoted to breaking down barriers of language, culture and geography.

Congratulations to our winning scholarship recipients!

"EF strives to break down barriers of language, culture and geography. Describe a similar barrier, either literal or figurative, that exists in your community or the wider world. How have you or someone you know effectively participated in the destruction of this barrier?"

We entered St. Peter’s in Rome and the students’ jaws dropped. The vastness and splendor of what they saw rendered them awestruck.
